Ingredients

4 cups of fresh apple cider

1 cup of crisp white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio recommended)

1/2 cup of rich brandy

1/4 cup of zesty orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)

2 medium apples, cored and diced (a mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp works beautifully)

1 large orange, thinly sliced

1 medium lemon, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon whole cloves

2 cinnamon sticks

1 to 2 cups of sparkling water or lemon-lime soda (to taste for serving)

Ice cubes

Fresh cranberries and additional cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Begin by pouring the apple cider into a large pitcher. Add the white wine, brandy, and orange liqueur. Stir the mixture well to ensure all the ingredients are fully combined.

Next, add the diced apples, sliced orange, and sliced lemon to the pitcher. This will infuse the sangria with vibrant flavors.

Sprinkle in the whole cloves and drop in the cinnamon sticks, which will enhance the aromatic quality of the drink.

Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Allow it to chill for at least 2 hours, yet for an even richer flavor profile, consider letting it infuse overnight.

When you're ready to serve, fill each glass with ice cubes, and pour the sangria mixture over the ice until the glass is about three-quarters full.

Finish off each glass by topping with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda, giving it a delightful fizz. Stir gently to mix.

For an optional festive touch, garnish your sangria with fresh cranberries and an extra cinnamon stick in each glass.

Serve immediately and relish the warm, cozy flavors of autumn!
