Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

1 ½ cups packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 cup peeled and diced apples (approximately 2 medium apples)

½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a spacious mixing bowl, pour in the melted butter and add the packed brown sugar. Whisk these together until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is thoroughly mixed in before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Make sure these dry ingredients are well mixed for an even distribution of flavors.

Combine All Ingredients: Gradually introduce the dry mixture to your wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can affect the texture. Carefully fold in the diced apples, chopped walnuts, and white chocolate chips (if using), ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Bake: Transfer the blondie batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula for an even bake. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes. The blondies are done when they are a lovely golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Slice: Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice them into squares.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve these delicious blondies warm or at room temperature. They are delightful on their own or can be enhanced with a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra indulgence!
