1/2 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 cup low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth

1/2 cup whole milk

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust based on preference)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)

2 tablespoons olive oil, divided

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the dish.

    Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.

      Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked brown rice, sautéed onions and garlic, softened cream cheese, grated cheddar cheese, chicken or vegetable broth, milk, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated and smooth.
