Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon sriracha (optional, for added heat)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated

Salt and pepper, to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Glaze:

    - In a small saucepan, combine the diced strawberries, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice.

      - Heat over medium heat, allowing the mixture to come to a gentle simmer. Using a fork, mash the strawberries lightly as they cook until they break down and the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, remove from heat and set the glaze aside.

        Cook the Chicken:

          - In a large skillet, pour in the sesame oil and heat over medium heat.

            - Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until they become fragrant.

              - Incorporate the ground chicken into the skillet. Use a spatula to break the meat into fine pieces. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

                Combine with Flavors:

                  - Once the chicken is fully cooked, pour in the prepared strawberry glaze and add the sriracha, if using. Stir well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the glaze and heated through, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. Gently fold in the chopped green onions and cilantro for added freshness.

                    Assemble the Wraps:

                      - Take a lettuce leaf and place a generous spoonful of the tangy chicken mixture in the center, ready to be wrapped up.

                        Serve:

                          - If desired, garnish your wraps with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an extra pop of flavor. Serve immediately, and enjoy them warm or at room temperature for a delightful meal.
