4 cloves garlic, minced

2 lemons (juice and zest from 1, plus slices from the other)

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
