Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest (from about 1 lemon)

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). To facilitate easy cleanup, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, sea salt, and black pepper. Whisk until all ingredients are well blended and the marinade is smooth.

Marinate the Salmon: Arrange the salmon fillets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Using a brush or spoon, generously apply the lemon herb marinade over each fillet, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Allow them to marinate for about 10 minutes while you prepare the asparagus.

Prepare the Asparagus: On the opposite side of the baking sheet, place the trimmed asparagus spears. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the asparagus and gently toss them to ensure they are evenly coated.

Bake the Dish: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender yet still maintains a slight crispness.

Plate and Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Garnish the salmon and asparagus with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick.

Enjoy Your Meal: For a well-rounded dinner, pair this delightful dish with a side of fluffy rice, nutrient-rich quinoa, or a vibrant fresh salad.
