To begin, gather your ingredients: fresh or frozen berries, yogurt, bananas, sweeteners, and any additional ingredients you wish to include. Start by placing the berries into your blender. If you're using frozen berries, there's no need to thaw them, as they will contribute to the creamy texture of your smoothie bars. Next, add in your banana for natural sweetness and creaminess, followed by the yogurt, which will help bind everything together.

Ingredients

2 cups mixed frozen berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)

1 ripe banana

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla for added sweetness)

1/2 cup coconut milk (or almond milk for a nutty flavor)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added texture and nutrition)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Fresh berries and granola for topping (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare Your Ingredients: Start by gathering all necessary ingredients and a high-powered blender. Let the frozen berries thaw slightly to make blending easier. Measure out 2 cups of mixed berries.

Combine Ingredients: In the blender, add the thawed mixed berries, ripe banana, Greek yogurt, coconut milk, honey or maple syrup, chia seeds (if desired), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. You might need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula to ensure even blending. If the mixture is too thick for your preference, gradually add a bit more coconut milk until you reach your desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust: After blending, taste the smoothie mixture and, if you like it sweeter, feel free to add a bit more honey or maple syrup. Blend again briefly to combine.

Prepare the Baking Dish: Take an 8x8-inch or 9x5-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper. Make sure to leave some edges overhanging; this will make it easier to remove the bars once set.

Pour and Smooth: Carefully pour the smoothie mixture into the lined dish. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the top until it's even and level.

Add Toppings: If you want to enhance the texture and flavor, sprinkle fresh berries or granola on top of the smoothie mixture before it sets.

Freeze Until Solid: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or foil. Place it in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the mixture is completely solid.

Cut Into Bars: Once frozen, remove the smoothie block from the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang. Transfer it to a cutting board and slice it into bars or squares according to your size preference.

Storage Instructions: Store any remaining smoothie bars in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. To enjoy, simply take out the desired number of bars and allow them to sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before indulging.
