Ingredients

2 cups large pasta shells

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

1 cup roasted garlic Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Pasta: Fill a large pot with water, add a generous amount of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the large pasta shells and cook according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain the shells and set them aside to cool slightly.

Make the Filling: In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and optional red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to preheat at 375°F (190°C) while you assemble the dish.

Assemble the Dish: Begin by spreading half of the roasted garlic Alfredo sauce evenly on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Take each pasta shell and spoon in about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the chicken filling. Arrange the filled shells seam-side up in the baking dish in a single layer. Continue this process until all shells are filled and neatly placed in the dish.

Add Sauce & Cheese: Once all shells are arranged in the baking dish, pour the remaining Alfredo sauce evenly over the top. Take the remaining 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the sauce, followed by a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the top of the dish for added richness. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is deliciously bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish & Serve: After removing the dish from the oven, allow it to rest for about 5 minutes to let the flavors settle. Before serving, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top for a vibrant garnish.

Prep Time: 20 min | Total Time: 50 min | Servings: 4-6 servings

Enjoy your delicious Roasted Garlic Alfredo Chicken Shells, combining the rich flavors of garlic, creamy cheeses, and tender chicken!
